Reporter, Meteorologist, Traffic, Host
Have you ever been in a situation where you found yourself loving something so much, that you can't imagine your life without it? Well, that's how I feel about the news industry. My love affair with broadcast journalism began at a very young age. I was 8, when I noticed while other children were out playing house and other games, I was playing news reporter and pretending to be live on scene.
I have worked in the news industry, since graduating from the Florida State University in 2002, with the exception of the time I took off to obtain my Masters in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School at the Syracuse University. Since Newhouse, I've reported all over the country from Los Angeles, California to Savannah, Georgia and Great Falls, Montana to Panama City, Florida and now I am in Sarasota, Florida.
Over the years I have given a voice to the voiceless and held the powerful accountable. I even uncovered an inmate/deputy sex scandal at the Calhoun County Sheriff Office. My stories have also launched investigations at the Sanibel Police Department as well as the Collier County Sheriff Office and the North Port Police Deparment. I have a desire to break stories, investigate wrongdoing, and bring it to light. Needless to say, I no longer "play" reporter. I'm living my dream and will continue to follow it wherever it takes me.
